Trio In Prep

Best Blogger Tips
There is no doubt that Southwick is one of the most talked about races on the national circuit.  Weeks prior to the race, the questioning begins; "What are you doing to get ready for Southwick?".  Seems like a good question but, the answer is the same every time. They're riding sand tracks, and local boys Jake Abbott, Mike Sottile, and Jimmy Decotis have already gotten started. We headed out to New Hampshire the other day after some rain fall and they put in some motos,  I filmed.  And while doing so, I noticed that Jake Abbott is absolutely flying on the ol' 2 smoker he's running these days.
Jake was riding moto after moto the entire day and looking strong.  Also looking strong was the Geico rider Jimmy D.  Though it shouldn't come as too much a surprise, it shouldn't go unmentioned either.  He and Jake were on the same page with the moto after moto attitude and were charging the entire day.  Or at least until the booter in the middle drew all our attention and they just threw whips for a while.  Jim had the whips dialed, along with his stand-up style through the turns:
It was easy to get good footage this day and Mike Sottile definitely had a lot to do with that. Even though he was riding a 450, he still managed to have that thing the flattest whether it was turning, whipping, or scrubbing.  I had to be careful not to let the video turn into the Sottile show, but maybe that would have been just as good.  It's not like I hadn't seen him ride lately, he was up at the 207 course the other day but his whips and scrubs were definitely surprising and impressive.
Anyways, Sottile is looking good.  Jake is looking good too, Jim as well.   They're all fast. So check out this video and see what I'm talking about:
