Ever been to a pit on a nice Sunday afternoon when every denim warrior decides he's gonna tear it up that day? You get there and see that everyone and their brother is ripping side to side across the pit in all directions? Chances are, you won't want to stand anywhere near these guys. Every second you hear a bike behind you, you'll suspect it's out of control coming right at you. Believe it or not, thats exactly how it felt out on the track filming during a national. I'm comparing black to white here; I know pro's are the furthest things from denim warriors. But you had to be 100% alert of what was going on all around you filming out there. Being on the infield, with the track all around you is not what makes it seem this way. It's the fact that it is a full gate with forty of the fastest guys. Not to mention that they're giving it their all for 30+ minutes, absolutely pinned the entire time. The constant sound of rev-limiters and them going as fast as they do definitely keeps you on your toes. It was pretty unreal being out there and I can't thank Travis Steward (the picture above) and the guys at Vurb enough. I wish I could say I edited this, but I was only the helping hand with filming. It was Travis is who put this gem together, making a bold move with the song choice, but definitely making it work:Tuesday, April 12, 2011
