This is a video of a local kid jumping sleds and yes, we're getting off topic with this one but being that the Limelight is out of Maine, it's only right we show a little love this direction. Not to mention the fact that Mr. Travis Steward himself made this video (along with Paul Michaud). This name should jump out at you for plenty of reasons. One being that he steps into the MX scene when he feels like it and makes some of the hottest Vurb Select videos out there and another, but less obvious reason, is that I used to study his videos non-stop trying to replicate his style.
But this isn't a post to praise the Stewballa. The rider in this video, Joe McLafferty is killing it on the sled scene and we have to check it out. No need to go into detail on that because you can hear all about it in the video. But one thing that should be pointed out is his MX roots. He'd spent plenty of time at the 207 course, and even made an appearance at the MTF scene. He was definitely quick and it seemed weird that he was just randomly selling everything to ride sleds. Though it wasn't long before pictures and videos started popping up and people started realizing that maybe it wasn't such a bad idea after all.
