Last week I was writing about the rain and thought I'd be doing the same for this week. Most people would have agreed. The weather for the past 20 days had been rain, and the forecast showed no sign of that changing. And so unfortunately, there weren't too many bikes on the gates. Though fortunately enough, the people who did decide to race got a near perfect track. The sun came out and the track was dry by the time the first gate even dropped. Every turn had about 2-5 lines through it. The A class was pretty small, but stacked at the same time. It was a show down between Casey Myrick, Levi Persson, and Cody Williams. But Cody didn't make it 3 laps before taking a foot peg to his casing. But sure enough, Levi and Casey went at it all day. Not far off the pace, if off the pace at all, was Chopper #88 down in the B class. This kid was killing it on the 125. He's got a loose style on the bike and tons of speed. My brother put it as, he rides it like a BMX bike. I can see it. Check it out in this video, along with Casey doubling in behind the starting gate; a jump until Saturday, I'd only seen Jimmy D do.Tuesday, May 24, 2011
